This is one of my new favorite necklaces!  It features a vintage pin from Turtle Lake, Wisconsin.

The pin is amazing in it's brilliance.  There are four strands of quartz, shell pearls, and Swarovski pearls in gold plate.

In Tribute to Donna

When I think of my mother, Donna, I think of her as being full of life and light.  She taught me what is important; family and friends, to concentrate on what is good and what is worth working for; to stay true to who you are, and that sometimes change is good and necessary.

Her birthstone is the pearl; funny that I use it in most of my designs.  She passed in 1983 at the age of 55; yet she lives on in her family and in my jewelry.  She is one of the strongest women that I have ever met.  My mother is the "donna" in L'donna, and she would love this necklace!

Jeweled Tassel Necklace

Paris

This style has been so popular that I made another one!

The vintage pin is Trifari along with a vintage flower and cross.  The rest is made of pearls and chain.  

Wear it with that LBD, a tee shirt and jeans, or a silk blouse and pencil skirt.

If we can't be in Paris, we can wear this and dream of it.

Turquoise Love

My last trip to Austin, Texas, inspired me to design this necklace.  It is five strands of turquoise, pearls, and crystals with a vintage brooch.  Wear it with a white tee shirt and skinny jeans or with a pencil skirt and jacket.

Summer Evening Wedding

As the temperatures during this past week can suffice, summer seems to bring hot weather, but also travel and weddings. My husband and I have already attended several this summer, and for that reason, I decided that I would put together a few outfits from Zara with a statement necklace from my own L'donna Jewelry collection for a updated take on what to wear to summer weddings. 

On a related note, my daughter Erin introduced me to the Spanish department store Zara this past spring during our travels in Madrid, Spain. I quickly became enamored with its many exciting pieces and vast selection. Zara combines high-quality manufacturing of their garments with affordable pricing, making it one of my new favorite clothing retailers. If only they had more locations in the U.S.!

This L'donna Jewelry statement necklace features a vintage flower pin with chain and pearls, making it very classic and Chanel-esque.

The black dress is perfect with its asymmetrical hem and stays on trend with a cutout back. For a more modern and sexy look, try the red jumpsuit. The necklace, shoe, and bag tie it all together.

I would recommend pairing the red dress with the metallic ankle boots for a more casual affair. This outfit would be perfect for an outdoor wedding, and the necklace truly pops against the red lace dress.

Rhapsody in Paris

This necklace was inspired by the city of Paris and her protégée Coco Chanel. Fittingly, the necklace above is named "Coco" and is one of my daughter's favorite necklaces from my collection. That being said, I have put together two different ways to style this necklace: one is for dress-up and the other is for play.

The first outfit centers around the LBD with the Coco necklace and is perfect for a fun night out downtown. This specific dress is form-fitting and very attractive when worn. I would pair this dress with the Schoolboy Blazer in white; my suggestion would be to roll the sleeves and pull them up. Finally, I believe that the striped pump is the perfect way to tie the outfit together with a bright pop of color. 

The second outfit could be worn for lunch on the terrace or boutique shopping. Mixing prints and using colorblocking in your wardrobe keeps your look current this season. For example, I love the colorblocked top paired with the thistle print pant above. The necklace completes the look, along with the metallic sandal.
